This railway link also called "Brussels North-South Junction" is a tunnel passing under the city center and opened after World War II in 1952. The tunnel links the major South and North train stations with the Brussels Central station connecting all national and international stations of the city. This junction has 6 tracks and is only used for passenger trains. With 1200 trains passing through it each day it is the world busiest train route.
